Oooh, hard to say! Maybe Bhutan? It's considered the "happiest place on earth" (fun fact: they have a unique development philosophy of Gross National Happiness [GNH] so any development has to keep citizen happiness in mind!). Only carbon negative country in the world! Amazing people, amazing food, amazing scenery, just a great place to be. Hope they're doing okay out there.
Hmmm, but do the eerie human faces make them better or worse? I'll keep it in mind either way.
You really are too kind, you know that? How about this: I'll grow enough menacing (but warm!) beard for the both of us, and you can do the disarmingly nice and friendly smile for two as well.
That's INCREDIBLE. I hope they were able to parlay that into working together to keep their citizens alive and thriving. Maybe we could even learn a thing or two from 'em on how to set up our own thriving population!! (Or at least try to be carbon-negative. Which is a LITTLE easier these days.)
When painting a Persian, it's VERY important to capture the level of disdain they have for the peasants around them, so I do think it helps.
